Masonry Drill Bits
Masonry drills are a variation of the twist drill bit. The shank and fluted section being made from steel with a Tungsten Carbide tip for durability.
Masonry bits are typically used with a hammer drill. The bit is both rotated and hammered into the work piece. The hammering action breaks up the masonry at the drill bit tip. The flutes of the drill bit body carry away the dust. Rotating the bit brings the cutting edges onto a fresh portion of the hole bottom with every hammer blow.
To avoid the compromise of performance and design, C.K drill bits are optimized for the type of material they are to be used on; the tip geometry and flute configuration being designed to offer the balance of performance and wear resistance required for professional use.
The shank of the drills are parallel with a range of sizes spanning 4 to 16mm being available.
For deeper holes it is advised that the longer series SDS drill bits are used.
